Recommended minimum fee for GST work by ICAI

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has proposed a fee structure for services related to Goods and Services Tax (GST). The charges vary, commencing at a base rate of Rs. 5000 and increasing based on the intricacy of the task at hand.

The aforementioned fees are put forth as recommendations, not mandates, in order to serve the best interests of Chartered Accountants. In line with its dedication to enhancing the expertise of its members, the Committee for Members in Practice (CMP) at ICAI has updated the Minimum Recommended Scale of Fees for professional tasks carried out by ICAI practitioners.

This guidance pertains to the charges applicable for a range of professional tasks, taking into account the nature of the services rendered. The proposed fees have been categorized into three segments, corresponding to cities classified as Class A, Class B, and Class C.
