GST Enrolment in 7 states from tomorrow

Phasewise GST Enrolment has already started. On 15th November 2016 the enrolment for 

• Gujarat,
• Maharashtra,
• Goa,
• Daman and Diu,
• Dadra and Nagar Haveli,
• Chhattisgarh 

Will start from tomorrow.

Important points you need to ensure smooth GST enrolment.

1. Check if you have received the login ID and password to be used for first time login on the website of GSTIN.
2. If you have not received the same contact your VAT department.
3. Enrolment of service tax taxpayers will start later.
4. Change your login ID and password after first login.
5. Individual, HUF and partnership can sign via e- sign. They dont need to acquire digital signature.To know how it works click here.
6. Fill in the details required to be filled in.

9. This enrolment is a pre excercise for migration of existing registered person to GST portal.
10. You will be provided the provisional registration in form REG-21 only if you have enroled on GST portal.
11. There is no offline enrolment. You can use the faciliation center for GST enrolment but even in that case it will online.
12. There is no fee for GST enrolment It’s free of charge.
13. You can fill the data and save it for future use.
14. You can sign the documents digitally for that you are required to register your digital signature certificate on the website of GSTIN.

Login ID and password for the first time login will be sent to you by your excise or VAT department where you are already registered.
