Stop wasting the time of SC by these kind of PIL’s

The Supreme Court, in a recent ruling, rejected a public interest litigation (PIL) challenging the validity of Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution and Albert Einstein’s renowned mass–energy equivalence equation (E=MC²). This PIL, filed by Raj Kumar, was brought before a bench presided over by Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Sudhanshu Dhulia.

The petitioner argued that these theories were erroneous and had caused harm to numerous individuals, asserting that they should not be included in educational curricula. In response, the Court advised the petitioner to either enhance their own knowledge or propose an alternative theory. It emphasized that it cannot compel individuals to discard well-established scientific principles and, consequently, dismissed the PIL.

Furthermore, just before this particular PIL, advocate Raghav Awasthi had appeared in yet another PIL, seeking the development of a national traffic management policy. Justice Kaul swiftly responded by suggesting the imposition of costs on such PILs.

In response to this, Awasthi chose to withdraw the PIL and expressed an intention to pursue the matter in the High Court instead.
