Maharastra GST enrolment notification of MVAT

The department of VAT of Maharastra has issued a notification for Maharastra GST enrolment. The time period for Maharastra GST enrolment is from 15th November 2016 to 30th November 2016. The GSTN has provided the provisional login ID and password for dealers who are registered under MVAT Act, CST Act, Luxury Act or entry tax upto 31/08/2015.

List of existing dealers whose login ID and password are issued is published on “what’s new” section on website of Maharastra Sales tax department.The website of Maharastra government is www.mahavat.gov.in.

Dealers can login with existing login ID password and click on e-services. Then click on GST enrolment. A pop up will appear weather you want to access the provisional ID credentials. On selecting yes a form will appear in which the name, email id and mobile number will be pre filled.Out of these mobile number and email ID are editable.

After filling the details click on submit button. An acknowledgement will appear on screen which will have two parts:

• First a  PDF having the provisional ID and password for GST common portal.This pdf can be downloaded, saved or printed.
• Second a link to the GST common portal where he is required to be enroled.

Registration under GST model Law is PAN based. The dealer registered under any law without PAN will not get registration number from GST. List of such dealers is also available on website of Maharastra sales tax department (MSMD)

The existing dealers who are registered under more than one Act will receive will get the single provisional ID based on PAN. In GST there will be one registration per state.

After receipt of login id and password the dealer is required to login on GST common portal. For any help of query the dealer can contact the nodal help desk.
