7 tips to increase your branding without much of extra efforts

This post is written for all professionals, Advisers, Service providers, consultants, experts and will help people like IPR attorneys, CA’s , PCS, Advocates, Image consultants,Reputation management consultants, Direct and indirect tax experts, Service tax experts, GST experts, Company law 2013 and corporate compliance services providers and all kind of accounting, financial, taxation, auditing, HR, Immigration and other services providers who need to create their online branding but most of the time fails in it as they have expertise in their niche areas but not in branding.

Every professional understand that to gain long term sustainable business and standing it is important to create a high level branding. Every professional works really hard to achieve that standing in their respective profession. Most of us having technical knowledge of our niche areas and don’t know much about branding and web presence. After some days we feel that we are failing at creating a strong presence and losing high quality clients. Here are some tips which will help all professionals to grow their reputation and clients.

  1. Choose your core area:It is hard initially as we don’t want to lose any business. For long term standing it is important to choose a particular area and grow your knowledge to the heights of expertise. e.g. If you want to file sue for maintenance you will never choose a lawyer doing all random stuff but you will look for an experts having experience in Divorce cases and a track records in fetching good amount of maintenance.

You will have to kill that greed of handling each type of work. you have option to have a tie up with other professionals and include them in your team as an experts of other assignment so that you can get some benefit of all leads but keep your core area intact. Most of people like to choose the experts dealing in area of their requirement.

If you want to get business from other streams also then have a bigger set up and grow some members of your team in other areas also. This will bring you reputed high quality clients. There are so many update in every field and if you claim that you will do everything no one will trust your eligibility.

  1. Present yourself as a team: Always present yourself as a team as for high quality experts having a sound track record in their respective fields. As I told above para add other people in your team but keep their identity separate with their core area.

Reputed clients will always look for a strong team which is reliable and will be associated with you from long term. An employee working in your company more than 5 years is a symbol of good retention policy. Its simple no one want to bear the pain of transition of work from one employee to another time to time. If you want to ensure a high quality work to your client you will have to give impression that you have enough workforce to complete the task. Also adding some experts as partners in your entity will add on in your repute.

  1. Post regular articles on web: This is the most powerful way to mark your presence. Many of us create content and rotate it in what’s app groups. It is not going to help you in great way. Things on what’s app get deleted very soon and many times it fails to give credit to the creator of content. But things on web are permanent and people can reach there when they need.

Let me explain with an example: yesterday I received a piece of content on GST. I tried to find it source so I left this query that who is the original writer on all what’s app group where I received that post. No one was aware that who the person behind the post is. Generally people don’t enter their signature in their posts on what’s app and even if they do so people forwarding those posts remove those signature to claim the credit. On web this thing is not possible. Even after years of posting your content you will be the owner of your content. If you are working hard you should have all the credit for it.

       On what’s app you push the information. So many contacts in your broadcast list may not be interested in that information at that time and in future when they actually need it they won’t be able to find it on what’s app. If you will post your content on web it will help you get even unknown people as reader and followers and will mark your presence in Google search.   1. Create an impressive Bio: This is an art and you need to learn it. Your bio is something reaches to your clients as a first thing about you. Write an impressive bio about yourself and use it while networking. You can use both facebook and linkedin to get the email ID’s of potential leads and then send them a mail with your bio. Try to mention the best things about you as early as possible because if the people won’t find anything relevant in first 4-5 lines they won’t give attention to the remaining part.Only listing your services on portals like justdial and Indiamart is not going to help you. You are not selling a product here. Clients have a different prospective in mind when they hire for services. Only price and specification will not work. Your past experience and level of knowledge about a particular subject is also relevant. You may get some low level business from those listing but for reputed clients you will have to create an impressive intro to tell your clients about your experience and level of knowledge.You articles on web can help you. In your intro you can paste link of some relevant articles you have posted on web that will be enough for them to understand that you are consistent in reading changes and updates of your subject.
  2. Draft a good brochure to introduce your firm/LLP/Company: This is very important but unfortunately most of fail at this. We need to create a nice brochure explaining our organisation and experience and a brief about the areas we handle. We can upload it and place it’s QE code on our Cards.Whenever you will give your card to any one they will be able to know more about you by scanning the QE code. This will help them in connecting with you.
  3. Attend social events effectively: All of us spare time to attend the social event but many few of us are able to extract the maximum benefit from that event. When you attend any social even try to socialize more and more. Kill that hesitation within you. If you have actually worked on your intro it will give you confidence to meet more and more people and to tell them about yourself. You can write and learn your intro and even practice it so that you don’t feel hesitation in introducing yourself.

It is even better to attend these kinds of events with your team or at least with 2-3 members of your team so that you can cover all of the people attending that event.This will definitely give a better impression to all those come to know that you are not alone.

  1. Try as a speaker in some professional events: As I told you earlier try to master in one area of your profession and then you can be a leader for others. You can start answering the queries of people and then you can share your knowledge as a speaker. This will multiply your credentials and even other professionals from your own field will bring your business when they won’t be able to handle it themselves.

By the way your team work will help you here also.

Some of your senior team members should accompany you in your presentation. While you are busy in presentation they can collect cards from the audience and share a little about your services. They can record your presentation and that can be later used for improvement and on your web blogs.
