Income tax has been digitized to such an extent that the most complicated part i.e. the proceedings which formed a major portion of the Income-tax are also digitized and made faceless. All the proceedings will be transformed to the faceless mechanism by March 2023 and a completely new way of dealing with the Income-tax department will be in high demand. Looking at this transition the speaker has attempted and deliberated on the need to understand the law behind such digitization, the process for appearing, tips and traps, and the skills required to make effective arguments before the Income Tax Authority.
