Documents required for Registration under GST of individual

For registration under GST an individual or sole proprietor require the following documents for registration under GST :

1.Photographs of Proprietor

2. Address proof (Electricity bill/rent agreement)

3. Bank account details (scan copy of first page of passbook/cancelled cheque of proprietor or business) with Bank account no., MICR, IFSC, and branch details including bank code.

4. Authorisation letter from proprietor in following format:

I — (name) being owner/sole proprietor of …… (name of registered person or business) hereby solemnly affirm and declare that <<name of the authorised signatory,(owner/sole proprietor)>>is hereby authorised, vide resolution no… dated….. (copy submitted herewith), to act as an authorised signatory for the business <<Goods and Services Tax Identification Number – Name of the Business>> for which application for registration is being filed under the Act. All his actions in relation to this business will be binding on me.
