ITC for Works Contractors
Can a contractor avail input tax credit for materials purchased like cement, iron, etc. The civil contractor engaged only in govt. work tenders like repair & maintenance of public bridges, roads, tunnel?

Yes , they can avail input tax credit but their output should not be an exempted output.
