Subject: Harmonization of Appendix 3B (Table-2) for exports made with effect from 01.01.2020 with ITC HS 2017, as amended from 01.01.2020
The Director-General of Foreign Trade has notified the amended Indian Tarde Classification (Harmonized System)- ITC (HS), 2017 harmonizing it with the Finance (No.2) Act, 2019 dated 1st August 2019 vide Notification No. 38/2015-2020 dated 01.01.2020.
2. In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade policy (2015-2020), the Director-General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following additions/amendments in Appendix 3B- Table 2 as notified vide Public Notice 61 dated 07.03.2017 and as amended from time to time, accordingly.
A. The following MEIS entries are added in Appendix 3, Table 2, for exports made with effect from 01.01.2020
A1: The MEIS serial no. 8135 and 8136 are also added in the table as notified in the Public Notice 68 dated 09.01.2019.
B. The MEIS benefits for the following MEIS entries would not be available (i.e. rate is zero) for exports made with effect 01.01.2020 as these codes have ceased to exist with effect from 01.01.2020:
C. The description of the following MEIS entries in Appendix 2, table 2 is amended as below for exports made with effect from 01.01.2020:
