[Just in] Big decision on GST tribunal

The GST Council held its 52nd meeting today. As we all know formation of a GST tribunal was pending for a long. In recent times the government has issued a notification for the formation of a Tribunal. But it went to litigation forthwith.

The government was not willing to admit the judicial members into it, After all that opposition the council made major new decisions. Now an advocate with 10 years of experience in GST will be able to be admitted as a member of the Tribunal. This will ensure the end of litigation

Apart from this the age of the president of GSTAT is set at 70 and the age of members is set at 67.
